Individual Therapy

We all deal with fears, beliefs, myths about who we are based on the past, reflections of other people’s opinions, legacies of pain handed down. Together we establish what you want from therapy, how your life would be if you got what you hoped for and then we work through whatever thoughts or behaviors are in the way.  Whether these thoughts be about yourself or your relationships to others, living from clarity and strength gives you the ability to tap into the unlimited resources you have within you.

I often describe my work as getting to support people to fall back in love with themselves. Drawing from therapeutic modals I have trained in over the years, in any given session I may utilize psychodrama, talk therapy, gestalt, hypnotherapy, body-centered therapy, or Byron Katie’s “The Work”. Like any tool, how you use it and for what purpose is what gives it value. Regardless of the tools used in a session the goal is always to break through whatever is blocking access to your most capable, confident, and loving self. As we go through this process clients often find strengths talents and abilities they were unaware of until they liberated themselves from self-limiting beliefs. Often they discover that aspects of themselves they may have been judging or even hiding, are, in fact, holding the seeds for what makes them gloriously unique and the blueprint for their individual success and happiness. Often they also discover that aspects of themselves they may have judged or hidden hold the seeds for what makes them gloriously unique and amazing.
